  • There are regular ferry services that leave from the ports in Naples, Pozzuoli, Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast. The services from Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast are seasonal (Spring to late summer) while ferries from Naples and Pozzuoli are year-round. Ferries from the mainland arrive to the ports in Ischia Porto, Forio or Casamicciola. We suggest to our guests to arrive to the port of Forio, when possible. • Yes. This is the key philosophy of Casa Via Costa. Offering guests an authentic Ischian experience and tapping into the agrarian traditions and culture of the island. Guests are welcomed with a locally made wicker basket upon arrival. They are encouraged to pick fresh fruit and vegetables from the gardens. It should be noted that harvest is seasonal and fruit and vegetables available at different times of year will vary. In October and November, oranges, mandarins and avocadoes are abundant. In the summer months, tomatoes, zucchini, peaches and strawberries are plentiful.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, a wonderful view of the bay of Naples and Mount Epomeo, guests can learn to prepare traditional Italian and Ischian dishes like handmade pasta, La Zingara panini, caffonata salads from the garden and, if desired, coniglio all’ischitana (traditional rabbit dish)

Guests are first welcome to pick fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden with the chef, and are then treated to an aperitivo to watch the sunset from the rooftop gardens and dinner in the outdoor dining area under the wisteria pergola follows.
